3 Shakes Liquid Chilli Sauce uses only Chillies grown in Mosman Park WA, Vinegar made by Anchor Foods in Fremantle and Salt gathered at Lake Deborah WA. Nothing else is added.
3 Shakes is made from a unique blend of Habanero (15%), slim Cayenne (30%) Birdseye (25%) and Jalapeno (30%) chillies. The chillies are grown in the open air in Pesticide-free conditions in Mosman Park WA.
How is it Made?
The Chillies are hand-picked when fully ripe, washed, macerated and steeped in WA Oak-brewed Vinegar with 5% Lake Deborah Salt for a period of 6 weeks. Nothing else is added. The young mixture undergoes frequent agitation over this period. The sauce is then more finely macerated and bottled after testing for heat and flavour. It is then ready to shake into foods and drink that needs some measured flavour!
The natural preservatives used in the process mean that the sauce will last in the pantry, bar or camping box for 2 years or more. The flavour will broaden with time.
How hot is 3 Shakes?
3 Shakes measures at around 2000-4000units on the Scoville scale of chilli heat.
That means 3 Shakes of 3 Shakes on a bowl of pasta gives an experienced adult enough delicious chilli flavour to remember the name!
